We are actively involved in assisting companies in the funds' industry to establish operations in Ireland. We act for a range of domestic and international clients including banks, custodians, administrators, investment managers, brokers and investment funds. Our practice covers the range of regulatory issues of concern to these clients.
We also serve as transactional counsel and handle regulatory issues in mergers and acquisitions of financial services companies. We have represented clients from larger international groups to small boutique operations in their applications for regulatory authorisation. Investment managers and regulated service providers must continually respond to regulatory changes affecting both themselves and the funds they manage or service. We are active in keeping our clients advised of developments affecting them. We regularly address issues such as the marketing of advisory services and the use of developing marketing platforms, advertising issues and specific compliance matters such as soft commissions and conflicts.
With the global consolidation of the investment funds industry, we are active in the mergers and acquisitions of investment advisers and service providers. We have served as both lead counsel and regulatory counsel on numerous cross border mergers and acquisitions and conducted detailed due diligence processes. We have represented investment funds on the change in the control of the investment adviser and have acted in relation to the merger of investment funds as a result of these consolidations.
